BHAGAVAD RAMANUJA as UDAYAVAR

Mudal Andavan is nephew of Ramanuja. He learnt about achievements of BHAGAVAD RAMANUJA and was waiting for oppurtunity to join Ramanuja. KURATTHALWAN was a brilliant student of vedanthic scripts, who stays in near by village KURAN. He was also eager to join RAMANUJA and came to Kanchi. On the first meet itself , KURESAN and RAMANUJA felt they are born to be ideal Acharya and Sishya (disciple). Ramanuja gave Pancha Samskarams to both Mudal Andavan and Kuresa and initiated them as Srivaishnavas. Later Kuresan played very important role in saving Bhagad Ramanuja at odd times.

Yadava prakasa, who once taught scripture to RAMANUJA and conspired for his elimination is envious of Ramanuja's growth and achievemnets. But his mother argued with him and told him that BHAGVAd RAMANUJA is a special soul born to lead every one. This made Yadava change his attitude towards Ramanuja. He approached Ramamnuja at Kanchi to become a disciple. However Ramanuja asked him to argue with KURESAN and get convinced that Visistadvaitham is ultimate truth. Kuresan answered all questions of Yadava. Yadava who is himself a learned scholar, realised the greatness of the VISTADVAITHA in full depth. Ramanuja initated him to the new phylosophy and gave him atraditional name as Govinda Jeeyar.

When Yamunacharya (Alavandar) died Ramanuja went to Srirangam and promised for his THREE wishes but did not see Lord Ranganatha. Lord was diappointed whisch is a rare phenominon. Lord is happy at growth and achievements of Ramanuja, but has greater purpose for him. The intent was conveyed to Lord Varadaraja of Kachi, who is immerced in devotion of Bagavan and was reluctant to send Ramanuja. But, Ranganatha sends a scholar Tiruvaranga Pperumal to go to Kanchi to impress Varda Raja and request for RAMANUJA. Tiruvaranga Pperumal sings very well and goes to cout of Lord VARADA and exibits his talent. Lord Varada grant him a wish. I turn Pperumal asks for RAMANUJA. Lord Varada obliges the greater purpose and asks RAMANUJA to go and continue efforts from Srirangam

Ramnuja goes to Srirangam. Lord Ranganatha along with Periya Nambi and pther scholars welcomes RAMANUJA. Lord says the place merely gains importance by presence of Ramanuja. The leadrship is offered to Ramanuja by discolsing the wish of Alavandar through his paasuram "poliga poliga", which means "you are the person to elevate the world".

One day Lord Ranganatha grants a boon to Bhagavan and asks his wish. Bhagavad Ranuja asked for "I need MOKSHAM. Not merely for me. but to all those who follow this tradition". Ranganatha is immensely pleased with Ramanuja's selfless attitude and blessed him as UDAYAVAR. That is he owns IHAM - all that is required on earth, PARAM - all that is beyond life". With this elevation RAMANUJA is the only one to grant every one any thins that may be desired.
