RAMANUJA AT TIRUMALA

KAPILA TEERTHAM at Tirupati is also called ALWAR teertham. ALL the Alwars visited TIRUPATHI. They returneded back without climb the hills. They regarded, the hills as ADISESHAN and so do not touch it with the feet. King Vithalaraya was ruling TIRUPATHI region when RAMANUJA came there. The king honoured BHAGAVAN and took Pancha Samskaarams. ANANTHA CHARYA was in Tirumala. He rushed to RAMANUJA down hill, who was going back to Srirangam following the trend set by ALWARS. He requested RAMANUJA to come above, so that devotees there after cam visit TIRUMALA and offer prayer. RAMANUJA took it as BHAGAVAD AGNA (God's intent). He was said to have climbed hills on Knees without his feet touching the mountains.

Thondamaal Chakravarthi - is a devotee king of Tirumala area and used tohave Lord's Sannidhi every day before any other activity. Once his enemy decclared war for invading the kingdom. Thindamaal requedted Srinivasa perumal for rescue. Lord Srinivasa gave him SANKHU and CHAKRAM for fighing the enemy. As Thodamaal has taken them, Perumal does not have SANKHU and CHAKRAM from there after.

Bhrygu Maharshi - was consulted for identifying who is most suitable for taking the HAVAN from Yangnas. Bhrigu went to SATHYALOKAM where Brhama stays and found he is immersed in VEENA NADAM of Saraswathi and did not notice him. Bhrigu was angry ancursed him, that he will not have any POOJa on earth. Later he went to KAIKASH, where SIVA stays. Lord SIVA also did not notice him as he was enjoying cosmic dance with PARVATHI. Bhrigu cursed him that SIVA will have inly LINGA poojas and no DEHA poojas. Finally he went to TIRU VAIKUNTHAM and found Srimannaarayana was deepy immerced in Love with Lakshmi. This ennoyed Bhrigu to top and made him kick on the chest Lord Vishnu. That being a place of Maha Lakshmi, she was angry and left Sreemannrayana. Later ofcourse Lord VISHNU blided the foot eye of Bhrigu and made

him realise greatness of LORD. Subsequently Vishnu became SRINIVASA and started staying at TIRUMALA hill without LAKHMI.

ALL the events above lead to "Venkatewara not recgnised properly". Some used to all Him SIVA's incarnation and some others as SAKTHI. Tirumala Nambi requested BHAGAVAD RAMANUJA to set right every thing by coming obove the hills to Tirumala and establish REALITY. Ramanuja took it as Lord's wish and went up the hill. To prove ALL - Ramanuja and other believers decided to keep Siva's sulam, damarukam and Vishnu's Panchayudhams inside the temple and lock it. By next day what ever Lord takes, will be binding on all devotees to accept related faith.

That day night Lord Venkateswara came in the drean of BHAGAVAD RAMANUJA and asked him to give His SAKHU, CHAKRAM as an ACHARYA. It is believed RAMANUJA went inside in the form of ADISESHA and gifted them to Lord. However for outside world the next day Lord has all VAISHNAVA symbols and others rejected. This proved beyond doubt the Lord of TIRUMALA is VISHNU only. Afewdays later while RAMANUJA was taking rounds of the temple and TIRUMALA found Tirumalanambi's flower garden, meant for Perumal's MAALA KAINKARYAM. RAMANUJA appreciated efforts of Tirumala Nambi, who named his garden as RAMANUJA VANAM. Even today this name prevails.
