RAMANUJA - SREE PADA TEERTHAM

RAMANUJA gained full control over SRIRANGAM Temple and brought many reformss to everyone's benefit. However those who lost their personal gains were envious and consipred. One of them was given the task to end to RAMANUJA's life. A plan was worked to give poisionous food. He ordered his wife Tiru Kkocchi to invite RAmanuja and serve poisionous food. But Tiru KKocchi was devoted to RAMANUJA and was waiting for oppurtunity to treat him with delicious feast. She could not reconcile when RAMANUJA came to their house, she was oblized to serve him poisionus dish. However her face showed dim, guilty and internally she prayed Lord RANGANATHA to protect Ramanuja. Ramanuja sensed this concern, as a monther unwilling. RAMANUJA threw away the food. A dog near by ate it, to reveal every one, the conspiracy. RAMANUJA felt the affection of Tiru KKocchi is what saved him.

KIDAMBI YAACCHAN is nephew of Tirumala Nambi. Once both of them came to Srirangam to have sannidhi and sevai of Ramanuja. Knowing that Gosti poorna had come to RAMANUJA rushed to banks of KAVERI. It was hot summer and the sand of the river is too hot. But RAMANUJA did saastangam to his Acharya immediately after sight. Acharya also felt same level off affection. For some time Kdambi Yaacchan observed that the hot sun is hurting RAMANUJA. So immediately he laid down before Gostipooran and put RAMANUJA above him, in such a way to protect him from the burning sand. Tirumala Nambi recognised the BHAKTI of KidambiYacchan and advised RAMANUJA to take him as his personal cook and RAMANUJA should not take any thing from outside, other than Kidambi Yaacchans prasaadam. Soon both RAMANUJA and Kidambi developed into ideal GURU SHUSHYA pair.
